Job Description

LHH is seeking an EDI Analyst to join our client's team in a full-time, direct hire role in Beaverton, OR.

The EDI Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) between our company and our trading partners. This position will focus on managing EDI integrations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing data flows to meet business needs. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to enhance EDI processes, onboard new partners, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT). The analyst will be involved in identifying data discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing error-reporting mechanisms for smooth inbound and outbound transactions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage EDI integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange with internal and external trading partners.
  • Review and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure compliance with business rules and industry standards (X12, EDIFACT).
  • Work with internal teams (sales, operations, IT) to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable EDI specifications.
  • Onboard new trading partners, configure data mapping rules, and test data exchange processes.
  • Develop error reports, notifications, and data validation processes to address discrepancies.
  • Assist in system administration, troubleshooting, and support related to EDI systems.
  • Monitor EDI transactions for accuracy and compliance, providing regular reporting and analysis on system performance.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts for EDI processes and contribute to cross-departmental initiatives.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Qualifications & Experience

  • EDI Standards & Protocols: Strong understanding of EDI concepts, including X12 and EDIFACT. Experience in data mapping and integration.
  • Software & Tools: Proficiency in EDI platforms (e.g., TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, Rithum), and experience with FTP, SFTP, and AS2 for file transfer methods.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of data validation, error handling, and system administration. Experience with MS SQL queries and Python programming for automation and data analysis.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, IT). Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities, especially in the context of data discrepancies and EDI-related issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Strong knowledge of system and data quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

  • System Administration: EDI system maintenance, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Data Quality: Strong background in data validation, quality control, and error management.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Expertise in creating error reports, transaction analysis, and performance metrics using tools like MS SQL
  • Partner Onboarding: Ability to onboard new trading partners and set up configurations and data mappings.
  • While not required, it would be beneficial for a candidate to have the following skills or experience:
  • Microsoft Dynamics for Finance and Supply Chain Operations
  • Basic understanding of Python development language
  • Ability to work with EDI data converted CSV and XML data formats
  • Familiarity with REST API
