Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Mechanical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and detailing mechanical designs for custom equipment used in food production facilities. You'll work closely with engineers and project teams to bring concepts to life through precise and efficient CAD modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Create and update detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Manage and organize design data using Autodesk Vault.
• Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure accurate and manufacturable designs.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain documentation throughout the design process.
• Incorporate feedback from field teams and customers into design revisions.
• Ensure compliance with food industry standards and sanitary design practices.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and fabrication processes.
• Experience creating parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings for custom equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the food processing industry or designing sanitary equipment.
• Familiarity with sheet metal design and fabrication.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems commonly used in food production environments (e.g., conveyors, pumps, tanks, etc.).
