Position: Robotics Safety Engineer
Location: Chicago, United States
Job Responsibilities
As a Robotics Safety Engineer , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our robotic systems. Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting and supporting Risk Assessments (RA)
- Defining and documenting safety requirements (SRS)
- Validating hardware solutions using BGIA Sistema
- Performing safety validations
- Compiling safety documentation for technical files (TF)
- Conducting on-site Risk Assessments at customer locations
- Preparing and maintaining safety-related information
- Continuously improving existing safety procedures
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer with:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of Safety Directives and Standards , including:
- Machine Directive
- ISO 12100-2011, ISO 13849-1:2016, ISO 13849-2:2013, IEC 60204:2018
- ISO 13850:2015, ISO 13857:2008
- Familiarity with ISO 3691-4:2020, EN 528, and EN 619 (a plus)
- Understanding of US standards B11.0, B11.19, B11.26, B56.5 (a plus)
- Experience with Risk Assessment (RA) evaluation techniques
- Knowledge of IBF "Safexpert" software (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with electrical & hydraulic components in RA
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work on-site in Chicago
- Willingness to travel occasionally for international assignments
Competitive salary : $100,000 - $120,000
