Overview Senior Software Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript / React / NestJS) at Copeland. This role focuses on greenfield IoT development in a cloud-native environment. Responsibilities Design and implement cloud-native solutions with 24/7 availability, using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies for scalable deployments. Use serverless computing on Azure to optimize scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Build modern software applications using TypeScript, with React for the frontend and NestJS for the backend. Create automated unit and behavioral tests to ensure reliability and quality throughout the development lifecycle. Develop production code daily, following security best practices and integrating rollback mechanisms for quick issue resolution. Develop APIs and protocols to enable integration with websites, third-party partners, mobile apps, and IoT devices. Qualifications 5 years of software development experience with exposure to multiple languages (e.g., TypeScript, C#, HTML, SQL, etc.). Experience developing and deploying software on a major cloud native platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP). Proficient in automation for development, testing, and deployment of software products. Experience with paired programming and ability to translate business requirements into design. Has shipped at least one commercially used software product and participates in product support (on-call) independently. Understanding of agile development; ability to teach its concepts. Strong communication skills to explain technical topics to business and product teams. Ability to travel (company-paid) to St. Louis or Atlanta for up to 1 week per quarter. Has shipped products on multiple major cloud providers. Experience in related fields (e.g., customer support or data science). Experience with functional programming languages.
